The West Franklin Campus and Teaching Pastor is responsible to the church, under the direction of South Region Lead Pastor for casting vision, planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive worship service, and discipleship strategy for all aspects of the West Franklin campus. The West Franklin Campus and Teaching Pastor is responsible for aligning The Church at West Franklin a regional campus of Brentwood Baptist with the overall mission, vision, objectives and goals of Brentwood Baptist Church.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

Establish, communicate and implement vision, objectives, goals, strategies and tactics for West Franklin Campus.
Preach weekly on Sundays and teach in other settings.
Establish West Franklin Campus processes, systems, budgets, staffing models and accountabilities to support the vision, objectives, goals, strategies and tactics.
Provide oversight, equipping and supervision of the West Franklin Campus ministry staff and volunteers, clearly communicating and implementing strategic and operational goals, processes and systems.
Coordinate the weekly West Franklin Campus worship services in conjunction with the Brentwood Senior Pastor, and West Franklin Worship Minister.
Participate in the weekly Preaching Team meeting in collaborate in sermon planning.
Develop an intentional process for developing leaders within West Franklin campus.
Determine and develop appropriate oversight of the pastoral care aspects of the West Franklin campus.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Executive Pastors’ Office and/or the Senior Pastor.
Maintain an intentional program of spiritual, professional and physical self-development.
Maintain and consistently equip and develop a core group of prayer counselors for West Franklin campus, as well as a detailed process for capturing stories of life-transformation, and decisions for Christ.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

Effectively communicate and work alongside an administrative assistant, who will help carry-out the day- to-day administrative responsibilities of the West Franklin campus.
Pray with and for all staff members on a regular basis and hold staff members accountable for personal, spiritual and professional growth (self-development plan).
Report to the South Region Lead Campus Pastor at least quarterly on team progress and initiatives.
Be available to serve the church as a decision counselor, pastoral counselor, on-call minister and on-site minister (as assigned).
Collaborate with the Communications Team to ensure that the West Franklin vision, strategy and initiatives are communicated to the church and to the West Franklin target demographic on a timely basis through the appropriate distribution channels.
Be an active participant in the weekly BBC Preaching Team Meeting and teach on other Brentwood Baptist campuses 3-4 times a year.

A personal sense of calling from God to vocational Christian ministry in general and to this particular area of ministry.
Can identify closely with the mission, values, vision, theology, philosophy and methodology of Brentwood Baptist Church.
A mature Christian who is demonstrates the Fruit of the Spirit, is growing in their faith and is committed to spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading, prayer.
The proven ability to identify, equip and lead a team of volunteers.
Ability to collaborate, cooperate and function well in a team environment.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Above average preaching skills
The proven ability to lead change, think strategically and to work with various ministry models, structures and paradigms.
The proven ability to provide vision and strategy for a comprehensive program of worship, discipleship, service and missions.
A willingness to serve as a bridge where collaboration and alignment will exist between the West Franklin campus and Brentwood Baptist campuses.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a Seminary-level Master’s degree is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience is required working in the local church or Christian ministry context.
